A seasonal marmalade from Hawkshead Relish: oranges and lemons with cranberries and a glug of richly spiced Christmas liqueur, set with pectin and made by hand in open pans. The cranberries bring a sharp, jewel-red note to the bitter orange, and the liqueur adds warmth, though the finished marmalade contains only a trace of alcohol. The jar is 225g.
Spread it thickly on toast on Christmas morning, stir a spoonful into the glaze for a ham, or bake it into a steamed pudding or a batch of mince pies.
Made in the Lake District by Hawkshead Relish, who started out making preserves for their café in Hawkshead in 1999.
Gluten free and suitable for vegans. Keep in the fridge once opened.
