Holdsworth’s Christmas take on the espresso martini: creamy ganache centres infused with coffee and blended with vodka and a little coffee liqueur, enrobed in milk, dark and white chocolate and finished with a gold-dusted coffee bean.
Holdsworth Chocolates was founded in March 1988 by Barbara Holdsworth in Bakewell, in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District, with the belief that there was a market for proper British handmade chocolates. By 2006 they were stocked in John Lewis, Harrods, Selfridges and Chatsworth House, and since 2014 they have made their chocolates in a purpose-built kitchen in Bakewell. Everything is still hand-finished and hand-packed, using sustainably sourced single-origin Colombian chocolate from Casa Luker.
A good one for the espresso martini fan, and a nice box to open with the coffee after Christmas dinner. Contains alcohol, so not one for the children.
