Description

Ventresca is the rich, succulent belly fillets of the tuna, the most desirable part of the fish.  Tuna Belly or Ventresca as it’s known in Spain, is a real delicacy. The belly is the most tender and fatty part of the fish with the best flavour and juiciest texture. José Peña have been canning seafood from their base in Galicia, on the West Atlantic coast of Spain, for over 100 years. Every fish is caught using a rod and line which minimises environmental impact and bruising to the fish. The quality of their products are fantastic and they are the choice of many professional, Michelin starred chefs. The Ventresca is perfect on it’s own or with a mixed leaf salad, over sliced ripe tomatoes with olive oil and how we love it, with some Russian salad.
