As the name suggests, Jellychoc brings together jelly and chocolate, and this one is flavoured with mint – the classic after-dinner combination, with a tender, fresh-tasting jelly and the richness of chocolate. A 50g pack.
Majani has been making chocolate in Bologna since 1796, which makes it one of the oldest chocolate houses in Italy. It still works from the cocoa bean, and gave Italy its first solid chocolate, Scorza, in 1832. The firm is best known for the Cremino Fiat, the four-layer chocolate Aldo Majani created in 1911 to win Fiat’s competition for the launch of its Tipo 4 car.
A nice alternative to the usual after-dinner mints on the coffee tray over Christmas, and an easy small stocking filler.
