Calcotadas are eagerly awaited throughout Catalunya. Always held in very early spring, when Calcots are at their peak. The famous long, thin onion (a bit like a leek but it isn't), char grilled and served with it's own very special sauce, similar to a Romesco sauce. It's dirty, messy and fabulous fun. We are running a Calcotada Feast menu over the weekend of 22-24th March in both restaurants. This includes grilled calcots and sauce, fuet, tomato bread, selection of grilled meats including our Moritz chicken, morcilla, chorizo and butifarra (vegan options available), salad, bread, patatas bravas, accompaniments and crema catalana, plus cava drunk from a porron. This costs only £39 per person (£25 deposit payable at the time of booking). It will be available to pre-book and run for the weekend from Friday to Sunday from 12noon until close.
