A little hollow Father Christmas (Papá Noel in Spain) made of Simón Coll milk chocolate, with at least 30% cocoa, wrapped in foil with a Father Christmas design and fitted with a string so it can hang straight on the Christmas tree. Each one weighs 25g.
Simón Coll is one of Spain’s oldest chocolate makers. Simón Mestres, son of a family of winemakers, began making chocolate in 1840 in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the cava capital of the Penedès, near Barcelona. The business is now in the hands of the sixth generation of the family, with Maria Coll as chief executive, and it also owns Chocolate Amatller, the Barcelona brand dating from 1797.
Hang a few on the tree for the children to find, pop one in each stocking, or use them to decorate the table on Christmas Day.
