About

A  Monastrell dominated blend, a varietal that is the mainstay of this winery; with Syrah and Petit Verdot. The label depicts Gorú –  a local character who lived as a hermit. Harvesting is by hand at the optimum ripening time. Each grape variety was fermented and macerated separately for 15-20 days at a controlled temperature no higher than 28C. The wines then have 4 months in American oak barrels.

Ego Bodegas, now a decade old, is a boutique winery driven by three concepts – Ego, Talento, Infinito – which are: Ego, the concept of the self; Talento, the capacity for the performance or execution of an occupation; Infinito, the limitless power of the dream.
