With more than 50 years of experience, Agromar continues to offer you the best quality in preserved and pre-cooked products . The history of our company dates back to 1948, when Armando Barrio Mata from Gijón had the original idea of canning sea urchin roe, which was very abundant in the Asturian rocky outcrops and beaches at the time. Initially intended for family consumption and used as a gift, the unique product soon began to show commercial potential that Armando was able to see and develop. In those years there were many small artisanal canneries scattered throughout the Cantabrian coast, like the one his father ran back in 1920. Armando himself made and sold salted fish, perhaps the most artisanal of canned goods. It was he who finally registered the brand in 1968 and who 21 years later fostered the birth of what we know today as CONSERVAS AGROMAR, a young and innovative public limited company.
Premium Agromar Bocartes, cooked anchovy. What separate these to other bocarates, are the way they are cooked and prepared. These bocarates are cleaned and de scaled, which make them much more fresh, and tasty! Just delightful straight from the tin with some great bread and butter and a glass of white wine!
