We are looking for an experienced and competent Sous Chef to join our fantastic business in the Albert Dock. Our current Sous Chef has just been promoted to our Head Chef. We have a fantastic track record of internal promotion. We are a very successful restaurant, with a well-run kitchen and uses the very best of Spanish and local fresh ingredients; this post involves real cooking with the very best fresh ingredients. We are in the process of moving to an employee owned trust (EOT) where all our staff will have a real stake in the business.
We want someone who will is really talented, organized and fully understands the role and skills necessary for a professional Sous Chef, plus ready to make a long term commitment to the development of the business and eager to both play a part in the future and have a share in the business. Work life balance is vital to everyone at Lunyalita. That is why all our full time salaried managers work to a genuine 40 hour contract – really, never more than that (unless you ask for some paid overtime, occasionally).
As well as the package above, you will receive 70% discount for any food when working, a 20% discount at either of our restaurants, paid training and more. As we become an EOT, the opportunity for tax free bonuses will develop, too.
It would be great if you have a knowledge of Spanish cuisine, but if you are a very talented, passionate and creative cook, then we have the support to guide you. Our management team will support you with menu development, specials, kitchen management and organisation to make sure you are successful in the role.
