Miguel Merino Winemakers Dinner, 12th November 2026, Lunyalita

A rare, and what will be, an exceptional night, where you will get to try arguably, the very best Riojas there are. Produced by the iconic Bodegas Miguel Merino, and personally presented by Miguel himself. For the last 20 years, Miguel Merino has taken both the Spanish wine world, and the international wine world by storm. A small boutique winery in Briones in La Rioja, founded by his father, Miguel Senior. They are, without doubt, stunning. Produced in incredibly small volumes (sometimes a single barrel) feted by every significant wine critic there is, Liverpool has never seen the like of this night before. We will be presenting 6 of his very best wines, that now (understandably) cost a fortune, but we have worked hard to keep the price really low (for this level of event), including an exceptionally rare opportunity to try two vintages of the iconic Insula in a special vertical tasting.

This will be a small, intimate dinner, with Miguel and six of his iconic wines from across his range including the Insula and La Quinta. Dave Upson (our Executive Chef) and Dan Westhead (Lunyalita Head Chef) has created an equally impressive gastronomic selection of matching tapas for each of the wines.

Given the nature of the event, and the very short supply of these wines, this will be a small intimate dinner in our beautiful upstairs dining room at Lunyalita, overlooking the Royal Albert Dock.
