Perelló was founded in 1964 by the young entrepreneur Gaspar Perelló, who established both the company and its brand under his family name. The brand’s first symbol was a single large green gordal olive.
Having trained in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Gaspar learned the craft of selecting and preparing some of the finest olives produced in southern Spain. He later set up an olive-curing and packing business, supplying olives and pickles to traders at Barcelona’s renowned Boqueria Market. His range featured both northern and southern Spanish varieties, including gordal, manzanilla, empeltre, and arbequina olives, alongside a selection of high-quality pickles.
Over the years, Perelló has expanded far beyond its original offering. The range now includes olives, pickles, nuts, savoury snacks, olive oil crackers, and pulses. Today, Perelló continues to share a growing selection of authentic Spanish appetisers and pantry ingredients with customers throughout the UK and internationally.
