Rooted in the sun-drenched hills of Extremadura, northern Spain, La Chinata is a family business with over 90 years of history, tracing its origins back to 1932 when the family first began milling olives from the prized Sierra de Gata region. The name itself is a nod to the village of Malpartida, near Plasencia, where the founding family’s story began.

Now in its fourth generation, La Chinata has grown from a traditional olive mill into one of Spain’s most celebrated gourmet producers — whilst never losing sight of what matters most: quality ingredients and time-honoured craft. Extra virgin olive oil remains the heart of everything they make, from their award-winning oils to their exceptional range of gourmet food products.
