Hawkshead Relish’s festive marmalade, in the larger 270g jar from their Couture range. Oranges and lemons are cooked with cranberries and a glug of richly spiced Christmas liqueur, then set with pectin – bittersweet citrus with a sharp berry note and a warmth from the liqueur, though only a trace of alcohol remains.
The Couture jars are Italian-style and made for giving, so this is one to wrap up for someone who loves their breakfast. It is also good brushed over a ham, or melted into a sticky glaze for sausages.
