These are frozen and floured chipirones. The tiny baby squid, that every self-respecting tapas restaurant has on their menu in Spain.  These are exactly the same ones that we serve in the restaurant.  350g is a very generous portion for 3-4 people.

Simply fry in hot oil (approx 180C) for 5 minutes until they are golden brown and crispy – they need to be cooked from frozen.  After cooking, drain on kitchen towel, salt and serve with a wedge of lemon

Either use an old fashioned ‘chip pan’ or deep fat fryer.
