About

Made from a very special shoulder muscle from 100% pure, acorn fed Iberian pigs; this artisan product, produced without paprika, is based on a traditional recipe from Extremadura.  Once cut it has a vivid reddish purple colour, marbled with fat. It has a gentle, lingering aroma and is exceptionally succulent, sweet, savoury and buttery on the palate. After it has cured, it is vacuum packed, so as to retain all of its characteristics and comes in a very attractive presentation box.
Cinco Jotas, 5J, is renowned as the very best Iberico producer in Spain, using 100% pure Iberican pigs in the natural dehesa where the pigs eat only natural pastures and acorns, producing an animal with delicate but muscular limbs which will provide intensely flavoursome and aromatic iberico products.

Description

Sweet, acorn-fed  Ibérico pork, from the dehesas of Extremadura.  This is very similar to lomo and s quite simply the very best in the world.  Sweet, buttery and oozing quality.  Pork loin which is cured with a touch of mild smoked paprika, then rubbed and wrapped in bellota fat.  This ensures a soft, gentle meat, striated with sweet bellota fat.
